So safe and warm Never see the light No movement ever Never touch the light Is that a life? Is that alive? What’s real in here is in the mind What’s in the mind is real in here No need for time Never leave the ground No movement ever But lingering around Alive What is really here’s in the mind So shake the body off What is real in here’s in the mind So shut the body off Is that a life? Is that alive? ALIVE What is real in here’s in the mind So shake the body off

So clear just yesterday. Everything was in its place. Woke up and it was blown away. Where is that familiar face? So clear just yesterday So clear just yesterday Living in a photograph. Snapshot of a maniacal dream. Some things aren’t meant to last. Some things aren’t what they seem. There’s a piece over there. It’s reflecting in the light. There’s a piece over there out of mind and out of sight. So clear just yesterday then everything was blown away. It explode. There’s a piece over there. There is nowhere left to run to. There is nowhere left to turn. There is nothing left to lean on. Because everything you know is gonna burn. It explode. There’s a piece over there. Make sure your head’s on tight. It explode.

I read a review of the movie we’re in. Predicting the now as it occurred to me. Knowing what’s next with utter certainty. Like riding a bus without a driver, I’m stuck in the show without a writer. The thrilling performances and camera work! I’d never seen it but I knew all the words. It was hard to forget that it was only a film. It was just like deja-vu but never really that real. Every line was so predictable. Every action was so intentional. Every look was so emotional. Every moment was so sensational. Who are these people and what do they want? Somehow inscrutable but well understood. I knew where to stand and I knew what to do. I don’t know how because I’d only read the review. The subtleties were still a mystery. The subtitles were of no use to me. Then I awoke before it had ended. I was confused but not disappointed because every film must have an ending and I read the review and I lived it this morning. I read a review of the movie we’re in.

In some strange locations they’ll leave your hands untied. They’ll reward your obsessions and let you walk outside. Now you’re drowning in front of all of them and they laugh like it’s your fault. But when a window is left open, you’ll be shaking your tail at them all. Tell all of the dummies your feet are made of flesh. Tell all of the dummies you’ll kick them all to death. You’re drowning in front of all of them and they laugh like it’s your fault. With your other hand you’ll hold the wall up and you’ll be shaking your tail at them all. You’re down in New Orleans and you’re drowning in front of all of them You’re drowning in front of all of them and they laugh like it’s your fault. But when a window is left open, you’ll be shaking your tail at them all.

Lyrics by J. Lee Vineyard When the air is poison My hands are the ocean And I’m on time Oh yeah, I’m on time And the dominoes stand in their rows Pie smell in the air I’m coming over there You are the domino The best way to lay is out of my way You are the domino You better give up now and never look back I’m coming for you and I’m coming fast And I’m on time I’m on time You are the domino

It’s just about time to tell it like it is Tomorrow may have just arrived There’s just a little something hidden ‘neath my sleeve A dirty little nothing that might make you want to leave I’d tell you very simply I’d tell you in your sleep But what’s the point of secrets that you don’t know how to keep Such a silly set of circumstance There’s nothing you can do I’ll be moving my nest to you So slide on over and open up your everything I’m moving my nest to you Don’t get in a panic This seat has been reserved I’m moving my nest to you The simple stupid fact is there’s nothing you can do I’ll be moving my nest to you

Every single stinking hour of every single day, Always making circles ‘round the sun. You don’t know what game you’re in and don’t know how to play. When you think you’ve got it you’ll be done. Every single stinking hour of every single day, Always making circles ‘round the sun. There is no tomorrow, but there’s always yesterday When you think you’ve got it, you’ll be done.

Hands full of history she’s so ferociously looking through. She a memory now. She a tiny speck of dust. It’s been such a long time and her face it shows… relax… Holding to the horizon when the numbers won’t match up. She a pioneer, she the first one to be first. Everything closes inward with good intentions. The blood in the mirror, the blood in the drain; and the cold, cold corner of her eye signify she’s not machine….relax… Say goodbye to the lighthouse. Say goodbye to the waves. Say goodbye to the coastline, say goodbye to the caves. Say goodbye to the hardship and the wind in your sails. Say goodbye to the landscape, say goodbye to the snails….relax… Say goodbye to the circus, say goodbye to the clowns. Say goodbye to the sometime, say goodbye to the now. Say goodbye to the mother, say goodbye to the shame. Say goodbye to the father, say goodbye to the name. Say goodbye to the old friends, they never liked you anyway. Say goodbye to tomorrow, say goodbye to today. Say goodbye to confusion as you rattle your cage. Say goodbye to the curtains, say goodbye to the stage. Say goodbye to the singer. He’s been out here too long. Say goodbye to the music, Say goodbye to this song…relax…

They say, “Transportation’s not an emotion and motivation’s not a horse. Confrontation is essential, but ignoring it is so much worse.” If your fingers did the walking, would they walk right out on you? If your fingers did the talking what would they say to you? They’re breaking mirrors in the next life and burning bridges in between. All hands on deck! Misunderstanding the information. Sarcasm slicing through the wood. A highway to the transformation. They’d tear the paper if they could. All hands on deck! They’re breaking mirrors in the next life and burning bridges in between.

about

Schizopolitans' debut CD featuring the "Hard Ambient" sound of the original 3 man line-up (version 1.0). Mastered by tapecase/rhansmall, this first master of the album was rejected for a meatier (sometimes muddier) mix. No small feat as the notable absence of bass on most of the tracks made this a challenge. The tracks have a crisper and more aggressive "rock" sound than the other version. Most of the songs benefit from this.Rediscovering this album six years later in a different sonic space may prove to be entertaining for those who are familiar with the original release. The fifteen minute bouns track has been omitted to sharpen the experience.

DICLAIMER: This is better enjoyed as an alternative experience to the original album. It is not "better" or m"more enjoyable" than the original pressing, but it is "different." Those not familiar with the original, can get it at shows, or find it on the Interwebs, or buy it on iTunes if they wish...
